The Order of the Holy Grail is a first-person dungeon crawler where instead of controlling a whole squad of adventurers, as you usually would in this genre, you play the witch-doctor who comes along behind the cavalry. Your sole worry is to keep the warriors in your group alive.
The gameplay in The Order of the Holy Grail is simple: the cavalry advance through the dungeon and automatically fight off all the enemies they come across. You've got to decide when to to use one of your (limited) healing spells and – most importantly – when to tell the riders that it's time to come back. If all your characters die in the dungeon, you'll lose all your money and the equipment you've collected up to that point, meaning it's crucial to know when to retreat.
Between ventures into the dungeons, you can manage the specs of your group of riders. Recruit new characters, level up the ones you've already got, arm them with new weapons and defenses, and much more. The idea is to put together the most powerful group of adventurers you can manage.
The Order of the Holy Grail is an RPG that's as entertaining as it is original, and even in the absence of flashy graphics, offers an immersive and fun gaming experience. And usually you'll be no longer than five minutes inside a dungeon, meaning it's an ideal game to play on mobile devices.
